D isaster occurrence, as if, is a normal matter in Sunamganj District. Disaster Management is an important factor for the people of the districts under Sunamganj District. As a result, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) is one of the most important factors of this Division. For the sake of different stakeholders working in Local, National and International levels on DRR or Disaster Management, the Client (ERA, a local NGO) has planned to establish a Disaster Risk Management HUB in the name of “GIS Based Disaster Risk Management Information System of Sunamganj District” ERA offices located at Sunamganj.
This project has been executed by ERA (Efforts for Rural Advancement) with technical and financial assistance of National Alliance of Humanitarian Actors (NAHAB),Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) and Oxfam Bangladesh and has been completed with the support from local district authority especially from DC and DRRO, Sunamganj, District FSCD Officials, local NGOs.
This HUB, in short, will contain the following information:

• Geographic Presentation of Sunamganj district
• Flood Shelters of 11 Upazilas of Sunamganj district
• Flood and vulnerable location of Sunamganj district
• Using Geo Locator user can get position by android Cell phone.
